He was perusing his books, eyes running over the faded leather spines, searching for the perfect tome to start off his relaxing summer, when the brand on his left arm burned.

“What now?” Irate at having his peace interrupted, hours into his summer holiday, Snape nevertheless fixed an ‘I’m-not-too-annoyed’ expression on his face and Apparated to the Dark Lord’s side.

Mere minutes later he was bowing to the hem of Voldemort’s dark robe. “You summoned me, my Lord?”

Motioning for Snape to rise, Voldemort said, “Yes, Severus. I have tasks for you, now that you aren’t constrained by your…duties…at Hogwarts.”

Busy Week?

I'm woefully behind on my friends page - I think this is going to end up being a constant refrain with me. It would help if I could quit constantly revising my own fics, and read stuff by other people instead of rereading my own about 30x, looking for the one wrong word. And I'm only doing drabbles so far; I cringe to think of what I'll be like on fics of 1k words or more.

I got an email/comment today that made me squeee - one of my favorite fics so far, Spinner's End Redux, was recommended on thegoldenseeker!

I plan on starting to post my drabbles at some of the fic archives such as OWL and the Petulant Poetess. I also plan to start posting reviews; I have folders of fics bookmarked to read, and have barely been reading any since I've started writing my own. Bad me. Bad.
