Fuck. How did I not notice that 2013 was the last year for wrisomifu?

Snagged from gamma_x_orionis because I need something to jumpstart me again. 2013 was pretty dreary, 2014 will be too, so I need to get back into LJ and fandoms to have something to keep me sane.

So! Give me a topic or question and I shall answer it. Pretty much anything goes.

Could someone read over my 200 word drabble for hp_halloween? If you need a beta for your entry, I'll happily return the favor. I'm still fiddling a bit with it, and so should be sending it out Saturday evening.

Also, if anyone is so inclined, I could use a beta/idea bouncer for my darkwitches and Kinky Kristmas fics. I've had difficulty writing fic lately. I end up writing a fic only to hate it, which is not a pattern I'd like to continue.

Everything is femslash, variety of pairings.

After gamma_x_orionis's not so subtle advertising :P, I've decided to sign up for my first big bang: heroinebigbang. I actually signed up for one last year, to co-write with a friend, and that didn't work out at all. Here's hoping this time works out better. I need practice at writing longer stories, so this should be just the thing.

Naturally, I'm debating signing up for villainbigbang as well. I want to do a dark!Pansy story, but I think I'll see if there's any interest in a longer version of the fic I'm trying to write for hp_kinkfest. Which reminds me that my kinkfest posting date is fasting approaching...

I've been having a difficult time getting anything written. I'm also signed up for dysfuncentine, another great fest. I had an idea pop into my head as soon as I saw a certain prompt, but try as I might, the words just aren't cooperating. I'm feeling restless with just about everything, actually, and I can't pin down the reason. I wonder if it's because of where I am in life right now (aka nowhere), and that's getting to me more than it usually does?

Lastly, I owe comments everywhere. I've been sick for almost a month, between getting a cold and then the flu. I am excited to have all the lovely stories of hoggywartyxmas to read all at once -- I'm sure I'll be turning to that source of good fic when I need some inspiration. Or to, you know, procrastinate. Same thing with Kinky Kristmas and some other fests.

My fail behind needs a beta for 2 fics, neither of which are finished. Ahem. Both are femslash, and will be 1,000-1,500 words. Both are due December 9, so I really just need another set of eyes on them. I know I said I was going to try and be more active again. I miss you guys, I do! I just didn't count on spending a month and a half sick. I was trying to adjust to a new BC, and I can't believe how it affected me so much. I couldn't stand to spend any time on the computer unless I had to be on for work. What a waste of a month and a half, sigh. I'm still dealing with some side effects, but hopefully I'll be at 100% soon, when the rest of the hormones get out of my body.

It's safe to say I failed at my Greek Mythology table for femslash100, although I will post the handful of drabbles I did write for it. I also need to read the remixes at femslash_remix, which finished posting before I could start, but that just means I can have a lovely afternoon of fic. Go check out the fics if you haven't already!
