Doldrums, I'm in them. Can't write anything, can't even think of anything. Hopefully I can break of it soon, I have [livejournal.com profile] hp_yule_balls due in a week. I'm on my third? or fourth plot idea by now.

Moving on. All the Deathly Hallows clips have me so excited, especially the ones showing bits of my favorite scenes! Malfoy Manor, I cannot wait. I have tickets to the midnight showing, wheee! Of course this means I have nine days to finish my Slytherin scarf so I can wear it to the movie.

I've gotten a bit more into RP'ing lately, and if anyone's interested... Semper Immortalis is an RP on IJ that I'm in. It's a Voldemort in power scenario, and I'm playing Pansy and Hermione. And shamelessly trying to con more people into joining. It's fun and active! There are some great characters still available, too.

[livejournal.com profile] deatheaterfest has opened prompt claiming! I swear, there are at least fifty prompts that I like. I was originally going to pick something challenging, but I picked smut. *headdesk* Actually my hope is that I can write at least two or three fics for the fest, so we'll see. I'm thinking that I might ask some people who wrote prompts that I really really liked if they mind if I write them after the fest, so that I can spend some time on them.

What else. Oh right. I finally got my new Blackcest/Lestrangecest/Malfoycest/etc community, [livejournal.com profile] deatheatercest up and running. First activity will be starting on November 15, a drabblethon, so stop by and check things out if you're interested.

I'm also planning on trying to write some drabbles over at [livejournal.com profile] lazysundaydrabs Guy Fawkes Fest, just because I think it's a fun idea. I have ideas, words just won't come.

So now if I could just break this writers block, all would be great. Maybe I'll go for my old standby of going to a café and seeing if I can't start something.

I'd go for an RPG if I could write
Severus
Luna
Blaise
Bellatrix
or
evil!Dumbledore
and
had tons of time. But no I'm writing about an OFC/Severus (sigh)

Blaise and Bellatrix are available :D

You actually don't need tons of time. I've been looking for another, since I do have a lot of free time and am enjoying RP'ing, but haven't found another one yet. But the time commitment isn't too big.

I'm only on LJ for some mutual Snack (Severus/Sirius) written between [livejournal.com profile] sionna_raven and myself, and reading others' work. I'll scope the comm out, the RPG. Is is involving much strategy? My look-ahead can be pathetic sometimes. I kick ass at chess but not WoW or D+D with the figurines die and graph paper.

Nope, no real strategy at all. You pretty much make up what you want your character to do, given the world the RP is set in (the premise), and then stuff happens from there.

It's my first active one and the other people there are really helpful/friendly on helping you figure things out.

Oh god! Deathly Hallows, I can't wait! The RP'ing sounds interesting but I've got such an obsessive personality I probably wouldn't want to do anything else with my free time, which isn't a good idea at the moment lol. Hope you break out of your writer's block soon!

Well it's not that active lol, like a video game. It's just kinda nice to have other things to mess with when I don't/want/can't write.

And hah, I saw your signups for [livejournal.com profile] hp_emofest! :D

I hear they're great for character development too. Perhaps I'll do it in the future if I get assigned a character or pairing I know nothing about and they're available on the RPG. And yeah, I actually did it. Signed up for my first real fest. I'm terrified but also kind of excited to see what I get to write :)

Yar, that's like my favorite part, seeing what assignment I get.

Don't be terrified, you'll do fine!

*hug* Yeah I saw your tweets. I don't even know if it's quite writers block, I think it's more blah mood. But anyway, hopefully I'll crack either/both soon.

Actually RP'ing is handy for writing in a way, because I've started using RP apps to help me figure out a backstory/personality/etc for characters we don't know much about in canon.

I sympathize on the writer's block. When I first started in HP fandom, I had more ideas than I had time to write -- wrote over 100,000 words in my first year. Now, I can spend weeks trying to write one fest entry (like now. And the deadlines are looming!)

Mmm I remember your post on this. I think some of it is also from not wanting to fall into it a pattern of writing the same sort of fics over and over, with just different characters.

Seems appropriate to you and me! :)

Sounds about right!
I'm needing to write something like 2200 words a day from now till the 30th if I'm going to finish NaNo. But... I'll just do what I can ;)

Hope you get un-blocked soon! :)

Have you seen the preview that Bellatrix actually talks in? :-D It's a snippet from the end of the Manor scene.

And *hugs* for the writer's block. You know I'm always open for idea bouncing and such if you need it. ^_^

Yes! I may have watched it uhm 5 times? Yep. There are so many TV spots now! And behind the scenes vids and actor interviews and etc etc etc... feel like I've seen half the movie, almost.

*hugs back* Thanks, I appreciate it. Hopefully I can figure something out today.

Dude, I feel you on the writer's block. Mine always comes at the most inconvenient times, like when I've something due. >.<

Sounds like you're enjoying your RPG! I definitely love mine, but I honestly don't think I could pick up another one.

*SMOOSH*

Yeah, writers block always seems to come at the most inconvenient time, doesn't it? I think I may have worked at least one thing out on my drive this morning, *fingers crossed.*

And dude! I had no idea RP's were so fun.

I've been RPing for about two and a half years, and I love it. I mean, the first one I was involved with was kinda of a mess at the end, but we formed our little offshoot (that's how I met Elle), and things have been great ever since. :)

And a hearty MWAHAHAHA at getting you to like Bill/Fleur a little. Srsly, they're such an ignored pairing, and Fleur is freaking awesome. :D I've always had an affinity for her; she was the first character I ever RP'd.

Fandom just keeps opening up new things to me. I so regret not finding it earlier, but oh well. I think I'm making up for lost time by getting involved in everything XD.

Yeah you guys do seem like an awesome group, and your OCs (who are pretty neat) pop up from time to time at [livejournal.com profile] hp_humpdrabbles and they're yum, lol.

Yeah, I was sure you'd like to hear that. I definitely like that you portray her as a character with a brain; I think a lot of my dislike was coming from reading not-so-great fics. I always say that a well written fic can change my opinion on a character or a ship.

Ooh, I <3 that you like our OCs. I think they're fun to play with, even though no one really knows who they are or their story when we trot them out at humps. I've only got one, but Elle has a few that I enjoy.

In my opinion (at least, the way I write her), Fleur is somewhat of a Slytherclaw. She's very intelligent and cunning-- though I don't think anyone who was a Triwizard Champion could be otherwise-- but she's also loyal to those she deems worthy. And yes, she's a tad bit (or a lot) vain. :)
