Jackie is different than the others.

It's something Catherine only thinks about when she watches her sleep. Jackie looks even more innocent then, but Catherine knows the girl isn't. She may be quiet when she comes, but she's a wildcat, all claws and teeth, when Catherine asks for it.

Jackie is more than that, though. More than just a semester’s diversion. More than just a bedwarmer.

Catherine never let the others stay. She didn’t want them after her conquest, couldn’t stand their pleading expressions. They always fell harder for her than she for them. There was always another eager innocent to pluck from the crowd.

Jackie is different than the others.

Though I have not seen the film, this really draws interest. I liked it very much. Always the touch of hard humour mixed with soft curves in your femslash.

OMG I hope so too! I only JUST watched this movie for the first time last weekend and fell hard for these two. The movie might be average at best but the chemistry and the banter between those two characters were what made it for me. Before I knew what was happening, I found myself ridiculously attached to them and wanting to see them work it out (though I understand why it ended the way it did). So yes, props to you for bringing the fanfic!

This was a great little piece. Love the bookending sentences and the focus on Catherine's feelings for Jackie, which I thought was one of the sweetest, most heartbreaking parts of their story. Well done!

(Btw, re: your tags, I think Jackie's last name is Kirk?)

I watched it two weeks ago, and I am still obsessed. The chemistry between them -- and how freaking hot Catherine is -- made the movie. I wanted it to work out, too. Maybe I'll get to replay it properly in RP, heh, or imagine my own ending in more fics.

So far, I've found only a handful of fics, and I hate to say it, but most of them aren't very good. I had a mini fit when I couldn't find good fics, and then resolved to try and write some. I'd rather read someone else's -- that's more fun! -- but it's almost as fun to write my own. I mean, there are SO many stories for these two ....
